Summer Scheduling
Summer Term
The summer term (and summer hours) will begin Monday, June 22nd and end Friday, August 21st, for a total of
nine weeks. (Please note that I will take two weeks vacation beginning Saturday, August 22nd, through Sunday,
September 6th.) Students are expected to attend a minimum of six lessons over the summer term. If necessary,
doubling up on lesson times during any given week is an acceptable way to meet the minimum lesson
requirement. If, due to to travel plans or the like, a student is absolutely unable to meet the six lesson minimum,
payment is still required for those six lessons to ensure a slot will be held for the student in the fall roster.
Also, in order to facilitate the scheduling process, families should let me know as soon as possible what their
intended travel schedule will be for the summer. I simply need the dates when you know you will be away.

Teaching Hours
During the summer weeks, I will be reducing the teaching week to four days a week: Monday through Thursday.
I have posted the hours I will be available for lessons below. Please take the time to look at your summer
schedules and select a lesson time that will work best for you. Students who wish to keep their normal lesson
time throughout the summer are given first priority. Additionally, families who require a later evening time due
to their work schedules will also be given preference.
I realize that schedules may change throughout the summer, due to various activities or camp attendance.
Because travel schedules will open up slots at various times throughout the summer, I can be flexible in
accomodating any changes in times required by these circumstances. Please let me know individually of these
circumstances as the need arises

Requesting A Lesson Time
Students who wish to keep their current time slot throughout the summer must notify me before Monday, June
1st. Those families in need of a later evening time due to work schedules who do not see their current
time slot listed above should also submit their request(s) before Monday, June 1st. All others, (those who
do not see their current time slot listed above, or those who wish to move to a different time slot during the
summer months) should submit their top three requests to me beginning Monday, June 1st. Times will be
assigned on a first come, first served basis.
